Houseboat Adventures is a family-run company, owned by Lorelie and Jeff Gordon. Back in the early 80’s they travelled across Canada looking for the best lake to relocate to and embark on their idea of renting houseboats. They hit the jackpot when they came to the amazing Lake of the Woods – it was destined to be their home. Their 3 boys Jayme, Joel & Trevor have all grown up with houseboats and began working with their parents at a very young age. They would travel to work by fishing boat, lunches in hand to their Saturday job cleaning fishing boats at age 10 and by mid teens they were comfortable piloting the houseboats and giving navigation lessons for their guests. Kenora continues to be their home. The boys may be off to university, but they come home every summer to work with their parents and enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The Gordon’s have welcomed their guests for over 30 years. We welcome you to come share our passion and experience all that we have to offer.

I started in the appliance repair business as a high school co-op student in 1998. From there I took my studies to the West Coast, obtaining my diploma in Appliance Repair. My love for my hometown brought me back to Kenora and I started a successful career with Maytag. I worked there until the closing of their doors in 2018. That was the push I needed to take the leap and branch out on my own. Since then, I have prided myself on my exceptional work ethic and customer satisfaction. At Kenora Appliance Repair I am passionate about making sure all your appliances are running smoothly, in an efficient, timely manner. Kenora Appliance Repair is Environmentally Conscious Because we handle refrigerants and other substances used in cooling processes, I have made it a point to ensure that my Environment Canada-based Ozone Depletion Prevention Certifications are up-to-date. The Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care provides on average, 80% of our hospital’s operating costs. This limited funding for healthcare equipment increases the financial pressure for our hospital; this funding does not cover capital expenses. The funds raised by LWDHF allow our hospital to maintain the high level of quality healthcare that their patients expect and appreciate. By working together with our generous community and our hospital, we can continue…

Founded in 1900, Weyerhaeuser is today one of the world’s largest forest products companies. We employ thousands of people in businesses that grow, harvest and sell trees and make a range of forest products essential to everyday lives. Our value chain is simple. We start by planting trees, lots of them. We manage our forests sustainably, over many decades, and help others manage their lands equally well. Once harvested, our trees and other wood fiber are made into useful products for society, and we sell our trees to other manufacturing companies that do the same. We are proud managers of a remarkable, renewable resource that, when managed well, can provide jobs, products, recreation and environmental benefits for many generations to come.
