Richard Brignall is a freelance journalist and author based in Kenora, Ontario. He is the author of 11 non-fiction books for middle-grade, teen and adult readers. His middle-grade and teen books are primarily biographies on Canadian sports stars like Clara Hughes, Norm Kwong, Lionel Conacher, Fergie Jenkins, the 1972 Team Canada Hockey Summit Series, and the Edmonton Grads women's basketball team. He has also detailed the wrongful conviction of Kyle Unger. His adult books have told the histories of Kenora and Manitoba hockey.
