The Kenora & District Chamber of Commerce held a successful culinary skills info session on June 27, 2023.

The KDCC partnered with Seven Generations Education Institute to promote the Culinary Skills Program. Culinary Skills is a year-long diploma program that educates students about all things culinary, including bookkeeping, sanitation and safety, wine pairings, etc. This program is valuable in our region as it can help strengthen restaurant and tourism sector businesses.

To increase program interest, we encourage restaurants to sponsor current or new talent by funding their one-year diploma for 1+ years of work at that business in return. This program provides a great opportunity for community investment and gives local talent an opportunity to shine.
